Biography
Bhasha Chakrabarti (b. 1991) engages artmaking as mending, both literally and metaphorically. Her interdisciplinary practice spans quilting, painting, film, and installation, exploring textiles’ politics and poetics—how fabrics are made, transported, bartered, loved, gendered, classed, and lived in and with. Chakrabarti graduated with a Master of Fine Arts in Painting and Printmaking from the Yale School of Art in the Spring of 2022. She lives and works in Honolulu, HI.
